Mum-of-five is first person to die from Brazilian butt lift procedure in UK
Two people have been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter after the death of a mother-of-five believed to have undergone a non-surgical Brazilian butt lift.
Alice Webb is thought to be the first person in Britain to die from the procedure, also known as a BBL.
The 34-year-old died at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital just before midnight on Monday after falling unwell.
Her partner Dane Knight took to Facebook to say ‘some very beautiful messages sent by some of your children formed a start of a smile from the corner of my kids mouth’.
He added: ‘Want to say a heart felt thank you to all family and friends that were here for us at our time of need, including all of the kind messages sent to my children and myself.
‘I feel this Is important saying this as I will not accept speculations from adults being accidentally being eaves dropped by children and unnecessary questions raised to the 5 girls, so be extremely carful on what you say and who is around.
What is a non-surgical Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL)?
A non-surgical BBL is a cosmetic procedure designed to enhance the size and shape of the buttocks without surgery or downtime.
Unlike the traditional BBL, which involves liposuction and then fat transfer, the method uses injectable dermal fillers.

It is reported the victim had a liquid BBL, which – unlike the surgery – involves the injecting of hyaluronic acid and dermal fillers.
The procedure is designed to enhance the size and shape of the buttocks without surgery or downtime.
Save Face, a national register of accredited practitioners who offer non-surgical cosmetic treatments, told the BBC this was the ‘first case of a death caused by a non-surgical BBL in the UK’.
Alice was an advanced aesthetic practitioner at Crystal Clear in Wotton-under-Edge, a market town in Gloucestershire.
A Go Fund Me page set up by a friend described her as ‘beautiful inside and out, with the biggest heart’.
‘I am hoping to raise as many funds as we can to support Dane, the partner of Alice and their five beautiful children at this very difficult sad time,’ a statement read.
‘Alice passed away Monday evening after having the BBL treatment which has gone wrong.
‘Alice joined the beauty & Aesthetics industry two years ago and she has been smashing it, doing amazing.
‘She cared about her clients, she would always check in to see if they were OK, Alice was a beautiful person inside and out and I feel very lucky to have known her and to have spent time with her in our salon.
‘Alice would ask for advice all the time and ask to check if there was anything more she could do to improve her skills but she was just a pure natural and never needed my help but always wanting to be the best at her job and that she was.
Gloucestershire Police was called by the ambulance service at 11.35pm on Monday, and an investigation is ongoing.
The two people arrested have been released on police bail.
A Gloucestershire Police spokesperson said: ‘Two people have been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter following the death of a woman in her 30s in Gloucester.
‘Police had been called by the ambulance service at around 11.35pm on Monday (23 September) with a report a woman had become unwell following a suspected cosmetic procedure.
‘She was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and died in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Her next of kin and the coroner are aware.
‘The woman’s family are being supported by specially trained officers. an investigation, led by the Major Crime Investigation Team, is ongoing.
‘The two people who had been arrested have been released on police bail.’
