Tottenham fans told not to expect senior player to leave in January transfer window despite rumours
Pete O’Rourke has poured cold water on reports that an under-fire Tottenham Hotspur man could leave the club in January.
Several Spurs players have come under heavy criticism over recent weeks, none more so than Guglielmo Vicaro, who was booed by Tottenham fans last week after his mistake against Fulham.
It has been reported that Inter Milan are ‘obsessed’ with landing the Tottenham number one, having been fans of him for a long time.
Some sources have even claimed that Vicario’s representatives are in talks with Inter Milan over a move to the San Siro, with the 29-year-old thought to be keen on a return to Italy.

It has been reported over recent days in the British press that Tottenham have already started looking at options to replace Vicario.
However, Pete O’Rourke does not think there is any chance that Thomas Frank’s men will consider letting the former Empoli man in January.
When asked about the speculation linking Vicario with an exit from N17, the journalist told Football Insider: “I don’t see a move in January, no chance of that. He’s obviously Tottenham’s number one keeper. Tottenham won’t want to lose him midway through the season as well.
“In the summer, that remains to be seen if there are other goalkeepers out there available that Tottenham could bring in to become number one, then something could happen with Vicario.”

Thomas Frank has come out in support of Vicario, insisting that his number one spot is not under any threat.
O’Rourke believes that despite all the criticism the Italian is getting, he has proven himself to be a solid performer for the Lilywhites.
He added: “Look, right now obviously he got a bit of flak from the fans after that mistake against Fulham. He held his hands up; he knew it was a mistake.
“But for me, I think he’s been a solid enough goalkeeper for Tottenham Hotspur. He’s a very good shot stopper. There are probably a few question marks over him from crosses and set-pieces, corners, long throws, etc.
“I don’t think Tottenham want to be chopping and changing their goalkeeper mid-way through the season. So, I would expect him to remain at the club until the summer.”
