Senior Tory Triggers Backlash After Getting Bent Out Of Shape About A Biscuit
A senior Conservative politician has been mocked online after taking exception to a supermarket biscuit.
Susan Hall, who was her party’s candidate to be London mayor last year, made clear her anger about a packet of Morrisons “mini gingerbread people”.
Posting a picture of the offending item on X, she said: “Look at this nonsense – NO – they are gingerbread men!!!”

However, her online outburst led to widespread ridicule from other users of the social media site.
Susan, they’re biscuits. Acquire a grip

Lol.... So first of all, you insist on the so called 'correct terminology', and calling certain people 'biological men'...

And now you want to call biscuits, men?!
Are you quite alright?

Honestly Susan, who cares? You’re shouting at biscuits.

Hall did receive support from one X user, who replied with a picture of a “non binary gingerbread people” biscuit from a bakery in Blackpool.
She replied: “That’s even worse!”

Last month, Hall was accused of “spreading misinformation” after she posted a picture on X showing a London Underground sign in Bengali.
Shesaid the sign above an entrance to Whitechapel Station was “unacceptable”.
She said: “This is England, we speak English. Those that don’t and live here must learn the language and dare I say ‘integrate’.”

But X users pointed out that Hall had ignored the fact that the sign above the station’s other entrance just two metres away was in English.
The Bengali sign was installed in 2022 as a tribute to the contribution the Bangladeshi community has made to east London.
Hall ran to be London mayor in 2024, but lost by more than 250,000 votes to Sadiq Khan.
