As new residents of Folly Beach, my husband and I applaud the move to ban plastics and polystyrene from the beaches. We would also love to see cigarette butts banned. In other words, do what backpackers often practice: Carry off everything you bring. It angers me to see trash that visitors leave on the beach, which is my backyard.
