NA member: Iran is a special partner for Armenia

Armenia attaches great importance to cooperation with Iran in all areas, as stated by Narek Babayan, head of the RA NA Armenia-Iran Friendship, during a meeting with a delegation of the Majlis of the Islamic Republic of Iran. According to the NA press service, the meeting took place on December 8.
"We are pleased to note the warm partnership that has developed between the parliaments of the two countries. Iran is a special partner state for Armenia, whose balanced policies contribute to the establishment of peace and strengthening stability in the region," Narek Babayan noted.
He emphasized the importance of the parliamentary cooperation, noting that the friendship groups play a crucial role in promoting mutual understanding and trust between legislative bodies. Iranian Majlis Member Esmaeil Siavash thanked the delegation for the warm welcome and noted that the two countries have much in common. He expressed confidence that the active reciprocal visits will play a role in developing bilateral relations. The Iranian MP also expressed gratitude for providing favorable conditions aimed at spreading and teaching of Farsi in Armenia. Narek Babayan highly appreciated the respect for Armenian cultural heritage in Iran. Esmaeil Siavash also emphasized the role of the Armenian community in Iran.
During the meeting, programs aimed at strengthening cooperation in all possible areas and the Armenian government's Crossroads of Peace initiative were discussed. The organization of mutual visits were also addressed.
