My faith helped reverse my dad's diabetes completely

As I write this to every reader out there, I must be sincere I have a mixed feeling of extreme joy but with grieve of what I have witnessed my dad passed through. I could only wish my dad approve of what I am doing right now, because I believe he should spread this gospel in person.

My dad is a very lively man, he had shown us love and care in almost every department. It’s only a bit awkward to see him change over time from the usual “flexing” and flamboyant guy to a more reserved and cautioned person. The exact time it all started I can’t tell precisely but one thing I am sure of is that it was around may/June when my dad returned home from a meeting with his club members, most of whom were business tycoons.

There was no power supply that night and though the weather wasn’t too hot, but my dad requested that we turned on the power plant so as to power the air condition, since he was really sweating that night. During this period, my dad will fall sick and any slight change in weather, food and mosquito bites. He gets irritated easily and would throw up on most occasions, and he then demanded by mum increase quantity in pepper in her meals and soup.

When my dad who was a very robust and chubby looking man was gradually losing weight and his wound would refuse to heal up on time, he then decided to visit the doctor for proper examination and checkup, it was surprising when my dad was diagnosed of hyperglycemia and cystitis, the doctor said something about having insulin resistance in his body and all that but in a nutshell he was already suffering from Diabetes. There was no history of such in our family except for hypertension. From that day onward everything changed, my dad had to adopt a new life style completely. He changed his meals and drinks as well. He no longer takes alcohol and would wake up every morning for much exercise, he visits the doctor more often than he does to his business. At first we all were happy to see him stop drinking but me missed those nights he would return home with enough pepper meat and drinks for the family. It seems nothing of such appeals him anymore. But we understood and tried to give him the much needed support.

I was so concerned about my dad’s experience and this saddens me a lot. He would use the insulin pump (CSIIs) about six times daily and would keep records in his diary. He wasn’t that cheerful as he used to be. He was adhering to the entire do and don’ts until suddenly around March 2014, his vision were becoming blurred. My mum travelled down to the village with him to get some local treatment but there was no much improvement still.
