Two motorcyclists remembered, honored by friends and family
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- Two close friends -- 26-year-old Hunter Weber and 25-year-old Adrian Webster -- tragically lost their lives just days apart in separate motorcycle accidents.
The two young men shared not only a passion for motorcycles, but also a treasured friendship.
Weber was killed on July 17 on Saunders Settlement Road, where Lewiston Police say a car struck his motorcycle head on. On July 19, tragedy struck again when Webster -- who had just taken to social media to honor the memory of his late friend, Hunter -- died after his motorcycle hit a guardrail traveling eastbound on the Kensington Expressway, a source said.
As their loved ones mourn, they call for change and beg drivers to remember every life on the road is fragile and deserves protection.
“They were just the nicest people who would do anything for anyone,” said friend Joseph Matuszak.
"My son Hunter was my entire world. He wasn’t just my child -- he was my best friend, my caregiver, my heart," said Hunter's mother, Jewellianne Weber, in a statement. "He lived with me and worked two jobs; one was helping to care for certain tasks each and every day for me while working another job and going to school full-time. He was studying to become a medical researcher, already holding a degree in applied sciences, with so much promise ahead of him.”
“Hunter had a big heart and he was kind to everyone, was fiercely loyal, and would drop anything to help out a friend. He never asked for anything in return -- he just loved deeply and gave freely. His friends have flooded me with messages, each one reminding me just how special he truly was. He changed lives quietly, but powerfully.”
