Jalen Ramsey wasn't happy that the Rams couldn't match the Titans' offer for Julio Jones

For the past few weeks, it’s been essentially a formality that the Atlanta Falcons would trade star receiver Julio Jones. It was just a matter of when, where and for how much.

Well, that trade finally happened on Sunday with Jones heading to the Tennessee Titans for a 2022 second-round pick and a swap of fourth and sixth-round picks in 2023. The Titans will also reportedly pick up Jones’ entire contract.

While nobody reasonably expected the Falcons to secure a first-round pick for Jones, it was still a bit wild to see Jones get traded for a relatively weak offer. And we already saw some envy from around the NFL.

Jalen Ramsey, specifically, was a bit let down that the Rams couldn’t make a more competitive offer than the Titans.

Ramsey reacted to the news that he was going to try to have a good Sunday, but he had to point out how the Rams missed a prime opportunity to give Matthew Stafford an all-pro weapon at receiver.

I think a lot of players will look at what it took to get Jones from Atlanta and think the same about their perspective front offices. But despite Julio’s undeniable talent, not many teams were willing to give up much for the 32-year-old receiver who is coming off injury issues.

They might end up regretting that. Ramsey certainly thinks so.
