Arsenal: Wenger feeling pressure of Chelsea visit
The Gunners entertain their London neighbours in their first game of 2018 looking to close the gap on Antonio Conte’s side above them in the table.
Chelsea are third, seven points ahead of Wenger’s men, who are down in fifth after only managing a 1-1 draw at West Brom on New Year’s Eve.
A win for Arsenal would be a big boost to their chances of finishing in the top four and Wenger is well aware just how big the showdown is.
He told reporters: “The gap is not big at the moment. We know that our home form will be absolutely vital and we just come home from West Brom frustrated because we lost two points. We know it puts us under even more pressure to deliver a big result tomorrow.”
