No nonsense for three 4-star prep football recruits
They play different positions, come from different backgrounds and are vastly different shapes.
But the top three players on The Chronicle’s list of the Bay Area’s top 50 high school football players for 2018 — De La Salle-Concord linebacker Henry To’oto’o, Bishop O’Dowd-Oakland running back Austin Jones and Pittsburg defensive lineman Jacob Bandes — are largely from the same mold.
“A worker bee,” De La Salle coach Justin Alumbaugh said of To’oto’o, who will get plenty of carries from running back. “No nonsense. Quiet. Relentless. He gets after it. He has from Day 1.”
It’s a long shot, but Jones needs 3,052 yards rushing to break the Bay Area career mark of Antioch’s Najee Harris.
