Presumably Monk was unaware that would be our only cash signing and we’d be embargoed by the league. It did seem to come as a surprise considering our bid for Grabban and him saying we were looking to improve areas.

Do you think that the left back would have been a priority or would he have stuck with Colin there and strengthened in another department (midfielder or striker or even a keeper) using hindsight.
Plus would he have bombed Stocky, Kuszczak and Grounds?
