SXSW: 'Krisha' And 'Peace Officer' Lead 2015 Award Winners
Wow, that flew by fast. There are still a few days left to go at the SXSW Film Festival, but things are coming to close and the awards from the festival have been handed out. These honors will certainly give an extra boost to these movies as they seek distribution and/or continue to make the rounds on the festival circuit.
The narrative feature winner "Krisha" already had a leg up, adapted from the SXSW Special Jury award-winning short from 2014. Meanwhile, the documentary "Peace Officer" (our review) had been building buzz in Austin, and certainly struck the right chord with the jury. Meanwhile, other prize winners include Don Hertzfeld's "World of Tomorrow," and the Ross Brothers' documentary "Western" (our review), both of which first screened at Sundance.
So check out the full list of winners below and perhaps make a note of them, because you'll want to keep an eye out for these ones in the months ahead.
