Dave Robinson was a class forward who was a real workhorse but I'm not sure that he left Swinton to join Wigan because the Lions sold Station Road. He signed for Wigan in 1970 and stayed for five years. His last game for Wigan was in April 1975 when ironically Wigan beat Swinton in the first round of the Prem Trophy at Central Park. He then re-signed for Swinton who were still playing at Station Road at the time. In fact Station Road was only closed down in 1992 by which time "Robby" had well and truly retired. Never the less it must have been a great experience to talk to a great player such as himself.
