Krispy Kreme Blanchardstown Issues Public Response To Noise Complaints From Locals

Krispy Kreme opened its first Irish store in Blanchardstown last week and it’s already caused plenty of chaos in the area.

There have been huge queues for the store’s drive-thru of up to 30 cars waiting to be served, with locals complaining that many customers were honking their horns and keeping people awake in the middle of the night.

The doughnut chain has now responded to the complaints and urged customers to be respectful of the residents in the area.

In a post on their Facebook page, they wrote, ‘Following from the well-received opening of our new store in Blanchardstown Centre, we are aware that a small number of customers using the drive thru service have been beeping their car horns late at night.

‘We are naturally asking them to stop and we do apologise to local residents who are affected by this.

‘To help encourage drivers to be respectful of residents we are getting signage made asking them to be quiet in the area and looking into other options to improve the situation.

‘We are also engaging with the centre management team to control traffic congestion in the store vicinity.

‘We are working to prevent this and we ask all customers coming to the drive thru to respect the area and the residents who live nearby.’The US company currently operates 1,300 stores in 31 countries and their latest opening is said to have created roughly 120 local jobs.
