You know you're a real cyclist when you wake up to rain yet still get on your bike and navigate the wet London streets. Yesterday, I did just that. Like so many Londoners, it has taken me several years of fearful contemplation to turn to the two-wheeled commute. But now I'm one of 1.3 million new cyclists who hit the UK roads last year - all of us contributing to making cycling a £2.9 billion industry. I've chopped 10 minutes off my commute and get fit for free - I'll never look back.
