March 17, 2019. NZ Police Commissioner Mike Bush, speaking to media on Sunday, says the terror attack on two Christchurch mosques has now claimed the lives of 50 people. "It is with sadness that I advise that the number of people who have died in this awful event has now risen to 50," he says. "As of last night, we were able to take all of the victims from both of those scenes and in doing so, we have located a further victim.
