F1 Australian GP live stream FREE: How to watch the season opener without paying a penny

F1 returns to our screens as the Australian Grand Prix kicks off the new season with Lewis Hamilton eyeing a sixth Drivers’ Championship this year.

There so new faces and teams with Racing Point and Alfa Romeo joining the grid, alongside the likes of British hopes Lando Norris and George Russell.

How to watch on TV for FREE?

All F1 races will be shown live on Sky Sports F1 this season, while Sky Sports Main Event will be showing the Australian Grand Prix with coverage underway from 3.30am.

Sky One is also showing all the build-up which is a FREE channel for anyone with a Virgin Media or Sky package, irrespective if you have a Sky Sports package.

You can find all these channels on Virgin Media by tuning into numbers 511 (ME), 516 (F1) or 110 (Sky One).

For those with Sky, head to any of the following: 106 (Sky One), 401 (ME) or 406 (F1).

Can I live stream it?

Sky Sports customers can live stream the race online via their computer, tablet or mobile.

Sky and Virgin Media subscribers can also watch the Australian GP on SkyGo and VirginTVGo respectively.

The first race of the new season takes place TODAY – Sunday, March 17.It will kick off at 5.10am UK time – that is 4.10pm in Australia.The race comes live from the Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit.
