Adam Johnson’s pals plan to turn £2m mansion into ‘party central’ after he leaves jail this week
PALS of Adam Johnson are to transform his new £2m mansion into “party central” when he’s freed from prison at the end of this week.
Dozens of the shamed footballer’s supporters, relatives and old friends are now clamouring for invites to his lavish home-coming bash.
Those close to the fallen star are organising a knees-up at his massive home in Castle Eden, County Durham for when he’s freed.
Johnson’s ex-lover Stacey Flounders – who now runs her own party planning business – is also expected to attend the bash and provide balloons and ‘welcome home’ banners.
She told The Sun earlier this month that she doesn’t see the star as a paedophile and believes he was a “sex addict.”
The ex-Manchester City winger is expected out on March 22 having served half of his six year sentence for sexual activity with a minor and child grooming.
Earlier this month, pictures emerged of the luxury home Johnson has bought for his release, with seven bedrooms, swimming pool and bowling alley.
And those on the 31-year-old’s inner circle believe the sprawling property – currently home to the disgraced star’s younger sister Faye – is just perfect for a party – or two.
Pals are swamping his closest friends for invites to the booze-fuelled shindig.
A source said: “The place is going to be party central for a few weeks while he comes to terms with life outside jail.
“He is going to want to avoid going out in places like Sunderland and Newcastle for a while because he’ll just attract bother.”
His family is expected to hire security guards to man the gates of the home to keep out uninvited guests.
Well-wishers even shared photographs of the last infamous party thrown by the player – after he was found guilty of sex crimes but before he was handed a six-year jail term.
One wannabe party-goer posted: “Party on pal !! should never been sent down in the first place # innocent.”
Another Facebook friend said: “Can I come to the party?”
One friend – who attended Johnson’s pre-jail knees up in 2013 – said: “Al jump back on security again.
“Freezing me b******s off I was standing on guard.”
Another pal said: “Am I invited mate?”
Johnson is due to be released on Friday after serving half of his sentence for sexually abusing a besotted teenage Sunderland fan in his Range Rover.
The Sun exclusively revealed how he will be released in the middle of the night in an unprecedented move sanctioned by prison bosses for his own safety.
It is aimed at preventing vigilantes getting to the shamed former Premiership star.
Johnson, 31, who played 12 times for England, received his final jail visit this week when dad Dave and mum Sonia took his daughter Ayla, four, to Moorlands Prison in Doncaster, South Yorks.
