Police rescued a cat from a flooded home in the Green Acres neighborhood of Bellevue, Nebraska, while patrolling inundated areas by boat on March 17. After posting this video, Officer Grubb of the Bellevue Police Department tweeted that they would not be able to carry out any more animal rescues due to rising water and dangerous conditions. Broken dams and levees, caused by a bomb cyclone over the US’ central states, contributed to the severe flooding in Iowa and Nebraska, according to reports. Reports said at least two people died as a result of the flooding. Credit: Carl Grubb via Storyful
