To the editor: Narrow view of voter apathy offered in editorial
The Blade’s recent editorial, “Voting indifference,” Thursday, offers a disappointingly narrow view of what voter turnout means and who deserves credit for the results. Yes, turnout was low, but that doesn’t mean Toledoans don’t care. It means people are juggling a lot. When families are working long hours, caring for kids, and trying to put food on the table, it’s easy for voting to feel like one more task in a week that’s already too full. That’s not apathy. That’s reality.
