Strictly’s Katya Jones claims her dramatic fall was DELIBERATE after being accused of ‘drunk’ dancing
STRICTLY Come Dancing’s Katya Jones has claimed her fall on last night’s live show was deliberate.
The professional dancer, 30, took a tumble during her Cha-Cha-Cha with celebrity partner Mike Bushell.
She later fell to the ground for a second time at the top of the stairs before talking to host Claudia Winkleman.
And now – after fans of the show accused her of being “drunk” – Katya has claimed the second fall was deliberate.
“Guys! This one was totally taking the Micky out of myself,” she wrote on Instagram.
“How convincing is that? I should be a fall over actor!”
Last night, the Russian beauty tried to brush off the embarrassing mishap.
Taking to Twitter, she wrote: “Guys! I’m totally fine! No idea what happened. So sorry.”
Katya added: “FYI I did it again on purpose in Claudia’s area!
“And I am def not drunk as some people think.”
She was praised by viewers for managing to “style out” the live TV blunder.
Katya and the 53-year-old sports presenter were performing a raunchy routine to It’s Raining Men as part of their Magic Mike movie week dance.
However, she missed her footing and slipped to the floor.
Ever the professional, Katya quickly spun around on her bottom and turned the fall into an additional move.
Discussing the performance afterwards, judge Bruno Toniolo remarked: “It wasn’t quite magic, it was nearly tragic in parts.”
Katya insisted that the mishap wasn’t Mike’s fault.

Worried host Claudia Winkleman asked the star if she was okay, but Katya shook it off and insisted that she was fine.
Viewers at home were shocked by the display, taking to Twitter to share their reaction.
One wrote: “For real though, has anyone checked on Katya?”
Another added: “I feel really bad for saying this but Katya falling was the highlight of my night.”
A third said: “I laughed too much when Katya fell.”
