[Men's Tennis] Nick Nienhaus Fares Well in SDSU Fall Invite

SAN DIEGO – A week after winning the ITA West Regional Tournament, Nick Nienhaus and his doubles partner from Pepperdine claimed fourth place in the SDSU Fall Invite.

 

Nienhaus and Jankowiak won their first doubles match on Friday 6-3 to move into the semifinals of the B grouping. They were defeated by a doubles team from UC Irvine 6-2 to move into the 3rd place match. Nienhaus and Jankowiak fell in the third-place match by the same 6-2 score by a doubles grouping from SDSU.

 

In his singles competitions, Nienhaus won his first match against UC Irvine, 6-2, 6-1. He advanced in the winner's bracket but later lost to Pepperdine in three sets, 1-6, 7-6, 10-5.
