Raiders pregame report: Williams out, Ferrell out, Incognito active
Wide receiver Tyrell Williams didn’t practice at all during the week and will not play Sunday against the Chicago Bears at Tottenham Stadium in London.
Williams has 17 receptions for 216 yards, leading Raiders wide receivers. He also has four of the six touchdown passes thrown by quarterback Derek Carr through four games. The four touchdown receptions is twice as many as active receivers Hunter Renfrow,Trevor Davis, Keelan Doss and Marcell Ateman combined.
Guard Richie Incognito, who didn’t practice Friday with a back injury and was listed as questionable, is active. Rookie defensive end Clelin Ferrell, who was in concussion protocol all week, is inactive and will not play.
The Raiders were concerned enough about the wide receiver and guard positions that Ateman and guard Lester Cotton Jr. were both promoted from the practice squad Saturday. Both are active.
Other inactives for the for the Raiders include wide receiver/return specialist Dwayne Harris (for the third straight game), guard Gabe Jackson, No. 3 quarterback DeShone Kizer, wide receiver J.J. Nelson and tackle Brandon Parker.
