NEWCASTLE fans were shocked to see Mike Ashley celebrating their win against Manchester United… then realise it’s just his Doppelganger
Debutant Matty Longstaff capped off a stunning debut by smashing in a famous winner against United.
But fans online were shocked by footage they thought was unpopular owner Ashley, who has been staying away from St James’ Park recently amid fan protests over his ownership, was on screen celebrating.
Sky Sports even claimed Ashley’s lookalike was Longstaff’s DAD – and so did fans on Twitter.
Carla Devine tweeted: “MAD how much Longstaff’s Dad looks like Mike Ashley.”
She then added he was the “spitting image” of the Londoner.
While his 19-year-old son’s fairy tale Premier League debut put a huge smile on his face, 45-year-old David’s own sporting exploits are also cause for celebration.
David still plays professional ice hockey for Whitley Warriors.

And last week he was named the NIHL (National Ice Hockey League) player of the month for September after scoring six goals and adding six assists.
He has now scored in 30 consecutive seasons.
Speaking after the Man Utd victory, Matty admitted his winning strike was “hit and hope” after he was handed the man-of-the-match award by his older brother Sean.
