The Raiders’ Europeans trip to London ended with a 24-21 win Sunday against the Chicago Bears and onetime Raiders star Khalil Mack.
As the Mercury News’ Jon Becker wrote: Mack was still stung by the Raiders trading him a little over a year ago, when coach Jon Gruden decided Mack wasn’t worth the kind of money it would take to sign him to a new contract. All eyes were on No. 52 for the Bears, who received plenty of attention by the Raiders’ offensive line.
Outside Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before the game Sunday morning, decked-out Bears and Raiders fans gathered and cheered. Some fans arrived in bright orange leg warmers and bear suits, while others broke out decorative skulls and black and white face paint.
The Raiders went into the 10 a.m. game against Chicago with a 2-2 record, while the Bears entered 3-1. The teams were tied 7-7 in their all-time series record, while the Bears won 22-20 in their last match in Oakland on Oct. 4, 2015.
RAIDERS NEXT GAME: at Green Bay Packers on Sunday, Oct. 20 at 10 a.m. (PT).
