[Football] Cobb's late score lifts Tigers to win

A missed extra point, a turnover just before half and a last second drive for the winning score added excitement in the rain as Georgetown College football hosted Thomas More University for the first time.

The Tigers (4-3, 3-1) used a final drive and a one-yard run to erase a five-point deficit and pull off the 20-19 win Saturday at Toyota Stadium.

GC ran the two-minute drill to perfection, scoring with 16.2 seconds left. Isaiah Cobb busted up the seam on a one-yard plunge to give the home team its first lead since early in the second quarter. The Saints had a chance to try and run the clock out, getting the ball with just more than two minutes left when Ellis Dunn lost his footing on the wet surface and a fourth down pass play landed on the turf incomplete.

Georgetown had two time outs left, used both as the defense stopped first and second down runs for little gain. TMU helped the home team out with a pass play that was incomplete and had to punt the ball away.
