[Men's Soccer] GC falls in tough one to Campbellsville
Late Saturday evening as the rains opened up and poured heavily, both Georgetown College and Campbellsville University men's soccer teams took advantage of the wet surface. Each team cranked shots with rapid pace, hoping something would spin its way in on a difficult night for goalies.
Both keepers proved to be up to the task, turning at least five saves each. However, the visiting Tigers were able to push across the lone score, winning 1-0 at Toyota Stadium.
After a scoreless first half, Campbellsville upped the attack and a quick transition set up Connor Pugh. Georgetown's defenders poked at the ball and had chances, but could not get it off Pugh's foot in time before he was able to put a shot past Jacob Roberts.
