Equity indices on Sunday closed 'Muhurat' trading session on a positive note with the benchmark BSE sensex rising nearly 200 points. Sensex surged 192 points or 0.49 per cent to close at 39,250 while the broader NSE Nifty settled above the 11,600-mark.
