Strictly’s Alex Scott reveals Neil Jones future on series is in doubt after nasty injury
STRICTLY’S Alex Scott has revealed Neil Jones’ future on the series is in doubt after a nasty injury forced him to miss the Halloween Special.
The pair were the first to make it through to next week on tonight’s results show, and Alex shared her delight with presenter Claudia Winkleman afterwards.
However, she revealed Neil’s status on the show was still up in the air, saying: “I think it’s testament to Neil actually, the way he teaches me and makes me learn every dance just in case anything happens like that.
“So partner get well, hopefully, we don’t know about next week yet but thank you for the way he’s just making me learn.”
Earlier in the day, Neil took to social media to thank fellow pro Kevin, 37, for stepping in with just 45 minutes to learn their Couple’s Choice routine.
He said: “Bro you stepped up when needed and I know how long it took me to dance the routine so for you to do that in 45mins.
“BRAVO you have always been there for me when I have needed your help. Thank you.”
The two celebrities found themselves in the bottom two following last night’s Halloween Special, with Catherine and her partner Johannes Radebe finishing second from bottom on the leaderboard.
They scored 24 points for their Cha Cha, while Mike and his partner Katya Jones had finished just ahead of them with 26 points after performing a Tango.
After both couples danced again it was up to the four judges to decide who to send home.
Craig Revel Horwood chose Mike, while Motsi Mabuse and Bruno Tonioli saved Catherine.
However Head Judge Shirley Ballas had the deciding vote and opted to save Mike and Katya.
One viewer tweeted: “”I’m crying Catherine could easily get to Blackpool. Wtf shirley #Strictly.”
Another added: “I’m f***ing sobbing at Catherine and Johannes #strictly.”
A fellow fan of the couple tweeted: “OK! I’m not going to lie! I’m crying! Gutted by that result @bbcstrictly So sorry to see @Cath_Tyldesley & @jojo_radebe leave the show #Strictly.”
