Multiple crews respond to raging fire near Lake Travis
Point Venture, TEXAS (KXAN) — Firefighters from multiple agencies responded to a raging fire in Point Venture near Lake Travis on Sunday afternoon.
A Travis County Emergency Services District #1 spokesperson said the fire broke out at a three-story house off Venture Boulevard at around 3:00 p.m.
When first responders arrived, they found that the fire had gotten under the house and spread across the structure.
The spokesperson said there were two people inside the house at the time of the fire and got out safe. Firefighters with the Austin Fire Department and Volente Fire Department helped Travis County ESD #1 crews because at the time of the call, they were working a brush fire at the opposite end of the county.
No neighbors were evacuated from nearby homes and there were no injuries.
Video sent to KXAN from viewer John Donahue showed large flames and thick black smoke flowing high into the air above Lake Travis.

A Travis County ESD #1 spokesman said the house was still standing after the fire was out, but they were trying to determine the structural integrity of the house before they went inside and looked for hot spots.
