Saracens could report Munster DOCTOR after claims he sparked brawl with weight jibe
SARACENS could report the DOCTOR of Munster after he allegedly sparked a brawl.
It is claimed Jamie Kearns mocked Sarries hooker Jamie George’s weight in a foul-mouthed tirade — before insulting a member of the player’s family.
The flashpoint sparked a 30-man fight but Saracens — who were trailing 6-3 at the time — held their nerve to secure a comeback victory.
Soon after the incident, Sarries No 8 Billy Vunipola set up Sean Maitland’s try, then brother Mako completed the fightback to keep their Euro dreams alive.
Speaking of the ugly scenes, boss Mark McCall said: “We need to decide what we’re going to do.
“From what I know, something pretty bad was said at Jamie. He wouldn’t have reacted that way otherwise.
‘SOMETHING HORRIBLE’
“What was said wasn’t good at all — it started a brawl. Owen Farrell got penalised for running into the melee, but I saw 29 other people run into it.
“It was a strange penalty to give and it was instigated by a member of their staff who said something horrible to one of our players.
“We’ll take our time to decide whether we do anything.”
Tournament chiefs are on red alert to take action against the Irish — despite the doctor apologising to George after the final whistle.
Munster boss Johann van Graan said: “I don’t know what happened. There were a lot of people involved, which wasn’t nice to see.
“We will look into it. I won’t speculate on it. So many things happen in a game of rugby — but you don’t want to see a fight.
“We missed the penalty at 6-3 — if it had been 9-3, it would have given momentum for us.”
‘FOUND ANOTHER GEAR’
Sarries served up a clunky performance before the scrap.
England captain Farrell and opposite fly-half JJ Hanrahan exchanged a penalty each in a dull first half.
Hanrahan booted Munster ahead after the break before reigning champs Sarries came to life thanks to the superb Vunipola brothers.
McCall added: “It’s a game that took a lot of winning, because the team we became in the last 20-25 minutes is the team we want to be.

“The team we were before that wasn’t too bad, but it wasn’t to trouble a brilliant Munster defence.
“Theirs was one of the best defensive performances I’ve seen here but we made it too easy for them.
“We were predictable. There was another gear to go and we found that in the last 25 minutes.”
