Arsenal are without Kieran Tierney, after he suffered a shoulder injury in the Premier League win over West Ham.
Rob Holding is also out until 2020, while Granit Xhaka and Dani Ceballos are also doubts.
That could see Calum Chambers retain his place, while Sead Kolasinac will come in for his fellow left-back.
Meanwhile, John Stones is still sidelined for Man City, along with Sergio Aguero – as Gabriel Jesus looks set to continue his goalscoring form.
David Silva is also injured, along with long-term absentee Aymeric Laporte, but Kevin de Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan are expected to return.
Despite his sparkling performance against Dinamo Zagreb, Phil Foden is likely to be back on the bench, with Guardiola claiming there are several other options in front of him.
The City boss said: “He could be ready, but there’s Gundo and Kevin didn’t play in Zagreb, Bernardo can play there too.”
