Fans mad at Nigella Lawson for copying Christmas recipes from years ago for blog posts
NIGELLA Lawson has copied and pasted all her Christmas recipe ideas on her lucrative website from 2018.
The TV presenter has not included a single new dish in this year’s Christmas Eatings section.
And some of her ideas are from at least a decade ago.
But she is not fooling many fans. One wrote: “She gave me a severe case of deja-vu this Christmas.” And another quipped: “Has Nigella been on the Christmas grog too early?”
Every year, Nigella, 59, writes a blog on her favourite recipes for the festive season.
It is linked to her millions of social media followers and draws tens of thousands more to her website — which is laden with lucrative adverts.
Last year, Nigella, reported to be worth at least £15million, suggested ideas including fig and olive chutney, Christmas rocky road, turkey breast stuffed with Italian sausage and marsala-steeped cranberries and roast goose with pear and cranberry stuffing.
Other seasonal offerings were make-ahead mash, spiced and super juicy turkey, roast stuffed pumpkin with a gingery tomato sauce.
But the ideas were copied from the year before and simply put in a different order.

One of her recipes, ham in Coca-Cola, comes from at least as far back as 2010.
And as she gushes over her edible Christmas tree decorations, she adds: “Ritual is so important in life, and our Christmas traditions celebrate that. I find there is something both calming and uplifting about getting together with my children, and taking time together to make, decorate and hang them each year.”
But she wrote exactly the same sentences last year.
