In India alone the sanitation economy is expected to be valued at $62 billion by 2021, according to the Toilet Board Coalition. Now a growing number of companies and "sanipreneurs" see the potential to turn human waste into a profitable business by creating new ways to transform sanitation into valuable resources, including renewable energy.
