FREDDIE LJUNGBERG has demanded dithering Arsenal chiefs decide now who they want as their next manager.
The stand-in boss expressed clear frustration after his side were demolished 3-0 by champions Manchester City at home.
Two goals from Kevin De Bruyne and another from Raheem Sterling saw Pep Guardiola’s side make light work of the crisis-hit North London club.
Former Gunners star Mikel Arteta – currently Guardiola’s No 2 at City – is a top target for Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke.
But more than 12 managerial prospects are being invited to attend a series of interviews with Arsenal supremos in the coming days.
Ljungberg, though, has called for a decision to be made sooner rather than later because the indecision is costing them against other sides.
He said: “I’ve said to them [the board] they need to make a decision.
‘MAKE A DECISION’
“We are here to help and the staff are trying to chip in but a decision has to be made so we can have the same resources as other clubs.
“When I say that they say I have to wait and see.”
Technical Director Edu was in the crowd to watch the defeat, but it is not known if Head of Football Raul Sanllehi and director Josh Kroenke were at the Emirates.
Ljungberg himself did little to endear himself to seething Gunners supporters when he was seen laughing with Guardiola at full time.
He was branded a “joke” and it seems Arsenal bosses are looking elsewhere for their next boss.
Ljungberg explained why he hauled off dismal Mesut Ozil.
The raging Arsenal midfielder booted his glove when he was taken off and dismissed Per Mertesacker’s offer of a handshake.
He was also labelled “pathetic” and a “snail” by Piers Morgan.

Ljungberg explained: “I took Mesut off because I wanted some more energy in the team.
“How he reacts is up to him and we will deal with it later.
“I’m here on a day-to-day basis but of course we want players in the right way.”
