Saudi man identified as bomber in Kuwait mosque attack
The suicide bomber who killed at least 27 worshipers at a Shiite Muslim mosque in Kuwait City was identified Sunday as a young Saudi national who arrived in the Persian Gulf emirate only hours before the attack.
The attack Friday raised concerns about the growing reach of the jihadists of the Islamic State group, an affiliate of which claimed responsibility for the bombing.
Security footage that later surfaced on social media showed the white-robed assailant taking a moment to gaze out at a crowd of up to 2,000 men before blowing himself up.
