Elizabeth Kolbert, a staff writer with the New Yorker, won the 2015 Pulitzer Prize for non-fiction for her book, The Sixth Extinction. She has travelled to diverse hotspots, studying and reporting on the devastation being caused to the natural world by human activities, especially global warming.
