RHOP season 5 taglines shown as Gizelle Bryant says ‘I’m still the baddest’ and Robyn Dixon quips ‘I never get played’
THE waiting is over as The Real Housewives of Potomac have returned for season 5 — and they brought some taglines with them.
The ladies of the cast, including new Housewife Wendy Osefo, all brought their own set of words as Bravo released the opening credits for the new season set in Maryland.
To kick off the credits, Wendy — a professor and political analyst — said: “The professor has arrived and class is officially in session.”
While cast member Gizelle Bryant said: “I’m still the baddest thing walking and the most anointed one talking!”
Things were just getting started as Karen Huger added: “Honey, the grande dame doesn’t repeat history. She makes it.”
Monique Samuels followed that up with: “Maybe if you tried a little harder, you wouldn’t have to try me.”
And Robyn Dixon added: “I live in a house full of ballers, but I never get played.”
Ashley Darby, who had her first child with husband Michael Darby in 2019, also had a few words.
She said: “Now that I have my baby, that’s the only crap I take!”
Not to be outdone cast member Candiace Dillard Bassett said: “Reading is fundamental and honey, I own the library.”
The latest season of RHOP was originally supposed to kick off on May 3, but things were pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The premiere will now air on August 2.
In the original trailer released back in March, a nasty fight took place between Monique and Candiace.
The fight led to a legal battle and the possible exit of one of the women.
According to People, the brawl was followed with each filing charges against one another with the District Court of Montgomery County.
Both were charged with second-degree assault, but the charges against both were eventually dismissed by the Office of the State’s Attorney.
The rough altercation did have a lasting impact as made clear by the promo at the time.
Karen told Monique: “I never thought as black women we would be right here, but we are.

“It’s not something you can brush under the rug, but you’ve got to address this!”
Gizelle added and reference Monique: “We’ve been able to hold ourselves above the stereotype, and in 5 minutes, she took it away.
“I by no means want to be near you.”
Monique also responded with: “Then maybe I don’t need to be a part of this anymore.”
