Christina Ricci gets emergency protective order against her husband James Heerdegen after ‘domestic battery call’
CHRISTINA Ricci has been granted an emergency protective order against her husband, James Heerdegen.
The Los Angeles Police Department responded to a call to the Hollywood star’s home in Woodland Hills, California, on June 25.
According to Us Weekly, while James – a film producer – was not arrested, the protective orders prohibits any contact between the pair.
An LAPD PIO confirmed to the outlet: “On 06/25/20, around 9:20 a.m., officers responded to a domestic battery radio call.
They added: “A report was completed.”
The duo, who met on the set of the ABC series Pan Am in 2011, announced news of their engagement in 2013 and married that same year.
They share a son named Freddie that they welcomed in 2014.
This may come as a surprise for fans as all seemed well earlier this month as Christina shared a photo of a Father’s Day card that her little boy made for James.
She captioned it on Instagram: “We you, Daddy! @jamesheerdegen.”
The Casper star has been open about her marriage in the past, touching on how walking down the aisle and having children have changed her.
She told People: “I didn’t realize how much growing up I had to do and how much better I could be.
“And my marriage and my kid have really made me better.
She continued: “It’s really been a real whallop. It’s my baby and it’s changed my life the way a baby does.”
While she has a busy career, the Addams Family costar also explained in the same interview that she makes sure to spend plenty of time with her only child.
Christina said: “Usually when I’m off, I’m with my son.

“When I’m not working, I try to be as full-time with him as I can be. Taking him to his play dates and nursery school.”
In another past interview, Christina once again revealed just how different she is now that she’s experienced marriage and motherhood.
She explained to The Edit: “Marriage shows you your flaws in how you deal with things, and having a child forces you to grow up at the speed of light.
“I’m a completely different person than I was before I had my child.”
