No10 holds meetings to reassure Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland over air bridges measures
AIR bridges faced turbulence yesterday as ministers tried to reassure Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland over the new measures.
No10 held meetings last night with the devolved administrations who are cautious about dropping the UK quarantine policy.

The air bridges will allow travel between certain countries without the need to quarantine on arrival.
Nicola Sturgeon is said to be “really objecting” to lifting the measures without being properly consulted.
It is said the Government wants to make sure Scotland is onside to “avoid mixed messages coming across the border”.

But No10 insisted last night the meeting was routine and there was “no drama” over the issue.
And it said the devolved administrations could “implement bits slightly differently” if they wanted to.
Scots could not be stopped going to England to take flights if Nicola Sturgeon did block the plans.
