East Oakland injury shooting under investigation
OAKLAND — Police were investigating an injury shooting Wednesday in an East Oakland neighborhood, authorities said.
Shortly before 7:35 p.m., police responded to the 2300 block of Embarcadero East near the Union Point Park parking lot for a report of a shooting and found a man in his 30s on the ground suffering from at least two gunshot wounds to his upper torso.
Paramedics and firefighters were also responding to the scene, and police officers were working to control traffic near the location.
No word was immediately available on his condition or any suspect description.
