WWE slammed after Asuka spits ‘green mist’ into Sasha Banks face during NXT as coronavirus ‘rips’ through company
WWE fans have slammed the company for allowing Asuka to spit ‘green mist’ into Sasha Bank’s face despite the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
RAW and SmackDown tapings are already in chaos following a rise in positive Covid-19 tests.
Announcers Renee Young and Kayla Braxton, plus producers Adam Pearce and Jamie Noble were among the star names confirmed as having the deadly bug last week following testing at the WWE Performance Center.
Only skeleton crews were in place for Raw and SmackDown tapings after various members of the locker room came into contact with the infected.
Some of WWE’s biggest Superstars, including Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens, who recently lost a relative to the disease, have been absent from TV due to the recent spike in Florida.
Premier League footballers were ordered not to even spit on the ground when they returned to training in May to control the spread of the virus.
And WWE writers have been slammed for allowing Asuka to spit her famous ‘green mist’ into Sasha Banks’ face at the Great American Bash.
The Empress of Tomorrow had used the coloured water powder to distract the Boss and cost her in the main event against NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai.
And one fan tweeted: “People tested positive for COVID and you’re going to have asuka spit on Sasha?”
Another said: “It’s corona season why asuka did this too Sasha ????”
A third added: “(Sasha) better save this as evidence. She got spit on with some damn green mist. Mind you this company just recently had a damn COVID outbreak.”

The incident will likely fuel speculation that McMahon, 74, has not taken the coronavirus seriously, instead likening it to the regular flu – a position consistent with Donald Trump and UFC president Dana White.
