Myanmar landslide: At least 62 dead and 13 missing after jade mine collapses
At least 62 people have reportedly died and 13 are missing after a landslide at a jade mine in northern Myanmar, Mirror reported.
Miners were collecting stones when a "muddy wave" caused by heavy rain buried them at around 6.30am local time.
The tragedy happened in the jade-rich Hpakant area of Kachin state, in the north of the country.
"Now in total 50 dead bodies," the country's fire service earlier said in a Facebook post.
"We are still working on the rescue process."
