My ex says I’m breaking the law for keeping our kids away due to his drinking and drug taking
DEAR DEIDRE: I STOPPED my ex taking the kids out when I found out he was drinking and doing drugs all weekend.
Now he tells me I am the one breaking the law.
After we split up nine months ago, he’d come to see the kids twice a week.
In lockdown I let him take them for a walk each day until I found out he was back to his old habits.
If he had his own place, I’d be OK about him seeing the kids – so long as he wasn’t doing his stuff. But he lives with two mates who mix with all sorts.
I’m 31 and he’s 33.
