Christina Ricci spotted for first time since filing for divorce and restraining order against husband James Heerdegen
CHRISTINA Ricci was spotted for the first time without her ring since filing for divorce from James Heerdegen.
She’s also been granted a restraining order against her film producer husband of nearly seven years.
Christina was seen for the first time since she split from her husband and received a protective order against him following a domestic dispute on June 25th.
She stopped by a friend’s home, and was notably not wearing her wedding ring.
The 40-year-old actress wore a long-sleeve blue top with jeans and Vans sneakers.
Her hair was cut in a short, dark bob style.
TMZ reported Christina filed the divorce paperwork this morning in Los Angeles.
She asked for sole legal and physical custody of their five-year-old son, Freddie.
The outlet reported there is no prenup.
The couple’s split follows police being called to their home late last month..
The Blast reported there was a domestic altercation.
Christina allegedly told police James had been “verbally abusive,” and she needed a restraining order because she was “in fear of her husband.”
The outlet also reported James, who was not arrested, was ordered to move out of their Los Angeles home.
Christina and James met in 2011 on the set of ABC series Pan Am.
They announced their engagement in 2013 and got married that same year.
They welcomed their son, Freddie, in 2014.

Last month, Christina shared a photo of a Father’s Day card her little boy made for James on Instagram.
She captioned it: “We you, Daddy! @jamesheerdegen.”
In 2017 she also told People how marriage and motherhood have changed her saying: “I didn’t realize how much growing up I had to do and how much better I could be.
“And my marriage and my kid have really made me better.”
