Katie Price’s terminally ill mum Amy ‘is inspiring her recovery from breaking both feet in horror accident’
KATIE Price vows terminally ill “superstar” mum Amy will be her inspiration to make a quick recovery from her broken feet.
The 42-year-old was left devastated when doctors told her she is unlikely to walk again this year after breaking both her feet on holiday in Turkey.
Since receiving the diagnosis Katie’s mum, who suffers from life-limiting lung condition idopathic pulmonary fibrosis, has been supporting her daughter and encouraging her to keep going.
It prompted Katie to share a picture of her on Instagram where she described her as “her rock”.
“Katie’s mum has been amazing since the accident – a total superstar,” a source told The Sun.
“As well as supporting her with many of the jobs she has had to do at home, Amy has been an emotional rock. She has insisted to Katie that this is just a blip and she will get over it.
“It has helped keep Katie in a really positive mindset at what is naturally a really, really tough time for her.
“Knowing she has her mum at her side supporting her through all of this has given Katie such a massive boost.”
The Sun has contacted a representative for Katie for comment.

Last week Katie visited her surgeon at the Fortius clinic in West London. She emerged with fresh casts and in a wheelchair as she was helped by a worker at the clinic. The mum-of-five later switched to a new chair in her favourite pink.
After leaving the clinic, Katie posted on her Instagram that she’d just received “devastating” news – but didn’t go into further details.
However, The Sun Online revealed Katie was told her recovery could take up to two years – and she might not walk for six months.
A source told us: “Doctors are saying she won’t be able to walk for six months, or put any weight on her feet.
“She needs major surgery on her feet ASAP as it’s worse than anyone realised.
“The recovery could take up to two years. She won’t even be walking around until well into 2021. She’s really upset and can’t believe it’s this bad.”
Katie alluded to the bad news on Instagram, writing: “Just finished my appointment with my consultant and surgeon about my feet.
“After further scans, the news is absolutely devastating. I’m gutted.”
After her two-hour appointment with a consultant, Katie looked sombre as she left the clinic.
She had been fixed with fresh boots on her damaged limbs and was helped out in her wheelchair.
