Lanes reduced on Burbank Boulevard in Tarzana for gas pipeline maintenance
SoCalGas has announced that pipeline maintenance work begins on Aug. 10 along Burbank Boulevard between Reseda Boulevard and Yolanda Avenue in Tarzana. The work is expected to continue through November depending on the weather and other conditions.
There will be lane reductions between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday for eastbound traffic for the construction. The hours are subject to change. The flow of traffic will be directed by crew personnel with flags and traffic cones.
SoCalGas said in a press release that area residents and businesses may smell the odor of natural gas during the project. Although that is normal when crews are working, the gas company requests that anyone who smells gas to call 800-427-2200 during the course of the maintenance. SoCalGas is available 24-hours a day, seven days a week for phone calls.
Residents, businesses, and commuters may hear work-related noise and see excavation equipment and vehicles during construction hours.
The company expects no interruption to natural gas service during the work.
