Former Labour hopeful David Miliband has long been characteristic of party's centrist wing and an avid opponent of former leader Jeremy Corbyn. Miliband lost to his own leadership bid to younger brother Ed in the 2010 election and stepped down from politics to work as the CEO of the International Rescue Committee the same year.
