‘Would be a brilliant move’ – Some Spurs fans want youngster loaned out to Premier League club
Some Spurs fans believe that a loan move to Fulham would be the ideal switch for Oliver Skipp next season.
The youngster is expected to follow in the footsteps of Harry Kane and Harry Winks and become the next big first-team superstar to emerge from the club’s academy (Athletic).
The 19-year-old has clocked up a few first-team appearances over the last two seasons and was even praised by Jose Mourinho for his mature performance against Norwich back in March (Football London).
The Spurs boss has admitted that the midfielder has asked to go out on loan next season (Alasdair Gold/Football.London).
The Evening Standard reported last week that Scott Parker wants to take Skipp to Craven Cottage after Fulham won promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
Some Spurs fans believe that a season of Premier League football under the watchful eye of Parker, who knows him well from his time as Tottenham’s Under-19 coach would do wonders for the midfielder’s confidence.
However, others wondered if it will be the smartest move to loan the youngster out to a Premier League club where he might not get a lot of game time.
Skipp being on loan to a team in the bottom half of the Premier League would be great. He needs first team minutes to progress further.

Likewise. I would like to see Skipp week in week out. I think Fulham would be perfect as he could learn under Scott Parker and Matt Wells knows him well. I would send him and Sessegnon there for the season.

It’s a tricky one. With an immense number of fixtures coming up next season what we don’t want to do is injure everyone and have no decent backups. Although Skipp feels he needs to go on loan I also think he would play a great part in Europa etc ???? thoughts?

Not sure if Skipp to Fulham on loan is a good idea if he's not going to be a regular next season. We want him to get a lot of games.
Maybe Skipp to QPR in a deal for Eze? Even Brentford or Forest. He'll play regularly there.

Parker rates Skipp highly and I am not surprised he wants to take him to Craven Cottage. However, Fulham are in no position to guarantee a minimum amount of game time for the youngster as they will likely be fighting for their lives next season. A loan to a Championship club would be ideal for Skipp as he needs to get as many games as possible under his belt.
