Nagpur jail turns fortress, so does Mahim; 35,000 Mumbai cops to be out on roads
Nagpur Central Jail, where Yakub Memon will hang early on Thursday, and Wardha Road outside turned into a khaki fortress on Wednesday. Police cordoned off a 500m area from the jail wall and imposed section 144 (prohibition of unlawful assembly) and section 137 (existence of public rights is denied) under the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) within the area.
